Citizen's Drop Off County residents in passenger vehicles may enter the Transfer Station at the Frederick Road/Route 355 entrance to drop off trash and recyclables. The drop-off area is staffed during operating hours. Residents pull their cars directly up to containers and unload easily and quickly. When residents dispose of trash in the drop-off area, it falls directly into a open top trailer. Arriving by truck (including pick-ups)? If you are bringing trash, or a combination of trash and recyclables, by truck, you must enter the facility via the Truck Entrance on Shady Grove Road. Note that this entrance is closed on Sundays. If you are bringing RECYCLABLES ONLY, you may enter via the Frederick Road/Route 355 entrance.
